I am writing this review based on my personal experience with the admissions process at De Montfort University Dubai as a UAE-based student. Overall, I found aspects of the admissions process to be unsatisfactory, particularly in relation to communication and flexibility regarding financial concerns. When I reached out to enquire whether there was any possibility of reconsidering or increasing my scholarship due to my financial circumstances, the response I received was consistently limited to “we can’t do anything,” without further explanation or engagement with my situation. As a student managing financial constraints, this approach felt unaccommodating and left little room for discussion or clarification. To be clear, I was offered a 20% scholarship based on my academic profile, which I am genuinely grateful for. However, my concern lies in the absence of any apparent consideration of financial need or willingness to review whether additional support could be possible in exceptional circumstances. I also found my interactions with the admissions officer, Jyoti, to be unsatisfactory. During multiple phone conversations, my questions were not consistently addressed in a clear or detailed manner, and at times the information provided was insufficient to fully understand my options within the admissions process. In addition, the communication did not feel supportive or reassuring, which made it more difficult to navigate a process that already carries significant pressure f
