I recently completed this internship and had an incredibly positive experience. Dr. T was truly dedicated to creating a challenging yet rewarding experience for all of the students. She fostered a safe space through various steps that allowed me to explore my interests and passions. One of the highlights was the exposure to new perspectives that allowed me to expand my understanding and curiosity. This also encouraged open communication and personal growth, which greatly enhanced my learning experience. Overall, I am extremely grateful for this internship and the opportunity to work with such a supportive and knowledgeable supervisor. I highly recommend this internship to anyone interested in pursuing a career in psychology.

I joined HRIC for my internship after having completed my master’s degree. One of the many things that make the internship helpful and worthwhile is that it focuses on personal growth just as much as professional growth; which is essential when training as a psychologist. Dr. T is the best supervisor I could have asked for, she challenged me while also ensuring a safe environment in which I could discuss my difficulties. My senior interns and co-interns were also an amazing group; they were compassionate, fun, and we had a memorable experience together! The experience at HRIC has taught me so much about psychology and being a psychologist, which I could not have gained from inside a classroom. The entire team at HRIC was amazing and supportive through the internship.

I joined the internship after I graduated from University. The experience I had at the internship is invaluable. The practical information I learnt first-hand from the professionals, the discussions we had as groups gave me a new perspective on how psychology is practically applied. Along with our professional development, we had a strong emphasis on our personal development and were actively encouraged to be vulnerable and challenge our fears. Supervision with Dr. T was challenging and pushed my abilities to think more as a professional and simultaneously be more compassionate with myself. The office has people that are truly empathetic and comforting people, and has helped me feel confident in myself to move forward!
