The British University in Dubai (BUiD) is a research-based, not-for-profit university established in 2003. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across fields such as education, business, engineering, law, and computer science, with academic partnerships with several UK universities. Located in Dubai International Academic City, it operates under UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research licensing and follows UK quality assurance standards.

I recently took my IELTS test at The British University in Dubai (BUiD), and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The campus, located in Dubai International Academic City, is modern and well-equipped, providing a comfortable environment for test-takers. The staff were professional and courteous, ensuring that the entire process was smooth and stress-free. After the test, I visited the nearby food court across Block 11, which offered a variety of dining options to suit different tastes. Overall, BUiD provided a conducive and supportive setting for the IELTS examination, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning to take the test in Dubai. One observation, though — the student demographic at BUiD tends to lean toward those from well-off backgrounds. It’s not the kind of place where you often come across individuals who’ve had to work their way up from modest means; most students appear to be supported by their families financially.
